The Patient Care Tech assists nurses by performing direct and indirect patient care activities to ensure a safe and efficient environment. This role contributes to comprehensive patient care and a positive patient experience, adhering to hospital standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific duties supporting patient care
- Perform direct and indirect patient care activities
- Contribute to a safe and efficient care environment
- Perform selected interventions and activities in accordance with standards
- Ensure a positive patient experience with the care team
Requirements
- Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- No experience required, training provided on-site.
Nice to Have
- High school diploma or GED
- Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment
- Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder
