About This Role

The Patient Care Tech assists nurses by performing direct and indirect patient care activities to ensure a safe and efficient environment. This role contributes to comprehensive patient care and a positive patient experience, adhering to hospital standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specific duties supporting patient care
  • Perform direct and indirect patient care activities
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient care environment
  • Perform selected interventions and activities in accordance with standards
  • Ensure a positive patient experience with the care team

Requirements

  • Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • No experience required, training provided on-site.

Nice to Have

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment
  • Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder
