Patient Care Tech / Oncology PCT

About This Role

Join Hillcrest Medical Center as a full-time, night shift Oncology Patient Care Technician. This role partners with registered nurses to provide direct patient care, monitor patient conditions, and assist with daily living tasks in a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care
• Complete delegated tasks for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Monitor patients and report their condition at regular intervals, promptly reporting any signs or symptoms of concern
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs
• Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
• Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy and collect specimens for labs
• Respond to call lights, provide patient transport and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• BLS certification (obtained within 14 days of hire and prior to direct patient care)
• Knowledge of patient care procedures

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification
