Provide essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey by assisting with personal needs, taking vital signs, and maintaining patient environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services
- Assist with personal hygiene
- Take vital signs
- Change bed linens
- Serve and collect food trays
- Provide for between-meal nourishment
- Clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification within 90-days of hire/transfer
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- None required, acute care or previous clinical experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Acute care and/or previous clinical experience
- Prior basic experience performing clerical or customer service duties with prior HUC training/experience in a clinical setting
- Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment
