Patient Care Assistant

About This Role

Provide direct patient care and personal care assistance to patients in Rehabilitation Services, working under the direction of licensed personnel and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of licensed nursing personnel
• Assist in the performance of procedures for the patient population served consistent with established policies and procedures
• Provide for patient safety
• Participate in ongoing educational activities
• Complete assigned goals

Requirements

• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format
• Skill to write legibly and record information accurately
• Computer literacy
• BLS within 14 days of hire

Nice to Have

• Rehab or skilled nursing experience
