About This Role

Provide direct and indirect patient care within the assigned care setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. Utilize critical thinking and nursing processes to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while preserving patient autonomy and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition
• Administer ordered medications as prescribed
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including basic self-care activities
• Formulate and evaluate patient teaching plans, including family where appropriate
• Perform treatments and provide services utilizing nursing knowledge
• Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in providing patient care
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills
• Identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family, communicating with social services for post-discharge needs
• Demonstrate cost-effective practices and non-wasteful usage of supplies
• Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently
• Promote patient safety by reducing the risk of unnecessary harm
• Assume lifelong learning related to the nursing profession
• Weeknight and weekend call required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in current unit or in specialty area
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Computer literacy
• RN license
• BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
