Patient Access Representative

About This Role

Handle inbound patient calls, triage to nurses, schedule appointments, and manage insurance verification and patient registration for a large cardiology practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle a large number of inbound calls from patients
• Triage calls to RN's when needed
• Schedule and reschedule appointments for patients
• Perform insurance verification
• Complete patient registration
• Process prior authorizations
• Schedule cardiology exams, screenings, and blood work

Requirements

• 2 years of medical administration experience
• Insurance verification experience
• EMR experience
• Excellent communication skills
