Patient Access Representative II, Adult Outpatient Rehab

About This Role

Serve as a Patient Access Representative II for Baptist Health's Adult Outpatient Rehab, primarily responsible for patient registration, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate patient information.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information
• Collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and any other form of account payments from patients
• Maintain service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Communicate in a manner consistent with the PAS department's goals, objectives, Mission, and core values
• Articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Receive and disseminate clinical information as indicated
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Certification
• Maintain a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Possess a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years of Customer Service, Insurance, and Healthcare experience
