About This Role

This Chaplain II role provides pastoral care and counseling services within the Pediatric ICU and for Pediatric Behavioral Health support groups at Wolfson's Children's Hospital, a part of Baptist Health. The position involves offering spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral care and counseling to team members, patients, patient’s families, hospital staff, and physicians
  • Offer religious resources and support groups
  • Develop efficient follow-up support plans
  • Respond to referrals from nurses, physicians, and local clergy
  • Assist and collaborate with pastoral care staff, residents, students, and volunteers
  • Provide evidence-based, expert spiritual care, including spiritual assessment, interventions, and monitoring of outcomes
  • Provide spiritual and emotional support to Baptist Health team members through daily rounding, group and individual support, and Spiritual Care Departmental programs
  • Collaborate with hospital staff including lead chaplains, community clergy, and hospital team members

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • 1-2 years Ministry Experience
  • 4 CPE units
  • Ordained or Licensed Minister

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required
  • 1-2 years Ministry Experience

Nice to Have

  • Doctorate
  • Board Certified Chaplain (BCC)

Certifications

4 CPE units (Required)
