This Chaplain II role provides pastoral care and counseling services within the Pediatric ICU and for Pediatric Behavioral Health support groups at Wolfson's Children's Hospital, a part of Baptist Health. The position involves offering spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care and counseling to team members, patients, patient’s families, hospital staff, and physicians
- Offer religious resources and support groups
- Develop efficient follow-up support plans
- Respond to referrals from nurses, physicians, and local clergy
- Assist and collaborate with pastoral care staff, residents, students, and volunteers
- Provide evidence-based, expert spiritual care, including spiritual assessment, interventions, and monitoring of outcomes
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to Baptist Health team members through daily rounding, group and individual support, and Spiritual Care Departmental programs
- Collaborate with hospital staff including lead chaplains, community clergy, and hospital team members
Requirements
- Master's Degree
- 1-2 years Ministry Experience
- 4 CPE units
- Ordained or Licensed Minister
Qualifications
- Master's Degree required
- 1-2 years Ministry Experience
