About This Role

The Patient Access Representative Associate welcomes and registers patients, collecting demographic and financial data, and plays a crucial role in connecting individuals with necessary healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in person
  • Collect demographic and insurance information
  • Check in and interview patients to complete appropriate paperwork
  • Direct patients to their appointment or procedure
  • Document issues and resolutions in electronic medical record
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers and interpret results
  • Explain cost information to patients and collect co-pay or deductibles
  • Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs
  • Provide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls

Requirements

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, call center, or other settings that engages with customers
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work standard daytime hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in healthcare, retail, food service, bank/office settings, or call center
