Part-Time Store Cashier/Stocker

About This Role

This role involves enhancing the ALDI customer shopping experience by operating registers, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and providing excellent customer service in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to direct leader
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility
• Process customer purchases and perform general cleaning duties
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience
• Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
• Participate in taking store inventory counts and monitoring inventory for accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Rotate product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer
• Follow merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
• Organize new inventory, remove and break down empty boxes
• Operate machinery and follow all safety procedures

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of products and services of the company
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately (Cashier)
• Comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages (Cashier)
• Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler (Stocker)
• Morning availability to accommodate store operational responsibilities with start times as early as 5:00 a.m. (Stocker)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
