Part time Security Officer (Taser)

About This Role

Serve as a part-time Security Officer, providing direct security and public services to maintain a safe and secure environment for a hospital's staff, patients, and visitors. This role is crucial in deterring illegal activities and supervising at-risk patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors.
• Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
• Provide supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Requirements

• Completed High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to help restrain or lift a person
• Ability to meet Taser qualification standards and obtain/maintain Taser license/permit
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER)
• Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Tarian's Taser Policy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have

• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines
