Part Time Leasing Consultant

About This Role

This position is responsible for coordinating marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals for an apartment community, ensuring resident satisfaction and lease renewals.

Responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities to achieve revenue and occupancy goals by greeting prospects, conducting tours, processing applications, and preparing leases.
• Inspect apartments before move-in to ensure they are move-in ready and schedule maintenance as needed.
• Stay informed about current market and competitor conditions and implement marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing activities to drive traffic, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, leasing activities, and manage resident data.
• Maintain high show quality for the community and show units through daily inspections and merchandising.
• Follow-up with prospects and new residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize lease decisions.
• Execute lease renewal programs by preparing letters, contacting residents, and ensuring documents are signed.
• Respond courteously to resident and client concerns, taking prompt action to solve problems or convey requests.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend legal documents, sell apartment features, and answer questions
• Ability to apply sales skills including lead generation, presentations, qualifying prospects, and closing
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet management programs, and property management software (preferably Yardi and/or One Site)
• Mathematical skills for financial records and reporting
• Proficiency in using the internet for marketing, advertising, and sales-related circumstances (Craigslist, Google)

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or an employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of a sales, marketing, internet and customer service background
