Leasing Consultant

About This Role

The Leasing Consultant serves as the primary marketing contact for prospective residents, manages day-to-day resident issues, and coordinates lease renewals for the community. This role is crucial for maintaining occupancy in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and determine if the community meets their qualifications
• Explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents
• Prepare and assist with all leasing paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and move-in packets
• Collect security deposits, rent, and other resident funds
• Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including final inspection with the resident
• Communicate changes in leased unit status to Maintenance
• Support overall marketing efforts and maintain in-depth knowledge of community details
• Inspect vacant apartments regularly for readiness to show to prospective residents
• Work with Property Manager to ensure curb appeal and property appearance are acceptable
• Conduct follow-up activity with residents to establish positive relations and assist in resident retention programs
• Attend and assist in coordination of resident relations and activities
• Accompany vendors or contractors to resident apartments as needed
• Transport residents or prospective residents via motorized vehicle on property grounds
• Maintain guest cards and follow-up within 24 hours via phone call or e-mail
• Assist in inputting resident work orders into Yardi and follow up with residents

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Auto insurance
• Ability to interpret, evaluate and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions
