About This Role

Instructors are responsible for preparing and delivering instruction in Teacher Education courses. This role involves managing courses through systematic use of syllabi and keeping accurate records of student performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction in Teacher Education courses
• Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi
• Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
• Adopt and implement common course objectives
• Attend part-time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes

Requirements

• Master’s degree in the subject or a Master’s with 18 hours of graduate-level teacher education courses
• Available to teach day, evening, or weekend at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites
