Part Time Head Cashier

About This Role

Supervise and train front-end associates, ensuring efficient customer service and accurate transactions by managing cash registers and assisting customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
• Proactively greet, assist, and engage with multiple customers on multiple registers at the same time
• Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's policies and programs
• Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
• Coach, develop, provide feedback, and train associates in various departmental duties or sales opportunities
• Use a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines
• Provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities
• Provide supervision, coaching, and support to CSA Front End Team
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls or take messages as needed
• Prepares register area at the beginning and end of shift by confirming functionality and stocking supplies

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier; Less than 1 year of experience using a computer and common retail technology

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
• 1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store
• 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience
• Retail experience detecting common signs of shoplifting
