About This Role

This role involves teaching anthropology courses at Barstow Community College, serving a diverse student population at the main campus, online, or at satellite learning centers.

Responsibilities

• Teach anthropology courses at Barstow Community College
• Teach on-line and at off-campus sites located at Fort Irwin and at the 1509 State Street location
• Provide an equitable, accessible, and affordable education to a diverse student body

Requirements

• Master's in anthropology or archaeology
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students

Qualifications

• Master's in anthropology or archaeology OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics or paleontology OR the equivalent

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level
