About This Role

The Assistant Professor - Educator will focus on Fine Arts within the School of Art, contributing to rigorous, experimental, and interdisciplinary programs for undergraduate and graduate students. This role involves teaching studio and seminar courses, curriculum development, and student mentoring, fostering contemporary artistic practice.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate studio and seminar courses, including Introduction to Contemporary Arts and Visual Culture, Professional Practices, and Senior Seminar
  • Contribute to curriculum development and expand course offerings
  • Support interdisciplinary approaches and experimentation in pedagogy
  • Provide service to School, College, and/or University committees
  • Support student mentoring and professional development

Requirements

  • Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art or related field
  • Portfolio of 10 creative works demonstrating evidence of creative practice in Fine Art
  • Two academic years of teaching experience post-qualifying degree in an institution of higher education
