About This Role

Kennesaw State University is seeking part-time and limited-term faculty members for the School of Government & International Affairs for the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions involve teaching introductory or upper-level political science and public administration courses on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory political science classes, such as POLS 1101 "Introduction to American Government" or POLS 2401 "Global Issues"
  • Teach upper-level or graduate political science or public administration courses as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science or a closely related discipline OR Master's degree in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline (for undergraduate courses)
  • Terminal/Doctorate degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science or Public Administration or a related discipline (for graduate courses)
  • Credentials meeting SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science or a closely related discipline (for undergraduate courses); Terminal/Doctorate degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science or Public Administration or a related discipline (for graduate courses)

Nice to Have

  • Earned doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
