Paramedic Field Supervisor

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring compliance with EMS standards, and managing staff assignments and training. The Field Supervisor also provides direct patient care and determines the medical disposition of patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Field Supervisor for full-time ambulance assignment as part of scheduled duties
• Attend required management meetings
• Assist the training department with continuing education and orientation
• Assign and distribute work, review work for accuracy and completeness, and provide recommendations for proper completion
• Collaborate with the communications department to maximize resource utilization
• Review, respond to, and report all incidents and accidents in accordance with company policy
• Inspect field personnel, quarters, and units to ensure conformity to EMS standards
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure safe vehicle performance
• Initiate disciplinary actions in accordance with EMS operating procedure
• Determine medical disposition of patients and medical facility utilized
• Secure patients into ambulances and monitor their condition enroute to the hospital
• Provide continuous medical care and treatment to patients
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of Paramedic Division destination policies
