Overnight Total Store Sanitation Specialist

About This Role

The Total Store Sanitation Specialist maintains cleanliness and safety throughout the store by deep cleaning essential areas and equipment, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. This role involves working overnight shifts and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas and departments, including equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains
• Maintain proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions
• Properly use chemicals and cleaning tools, including the H-E-B chemical program
• Organize and maintain stock in the maintenance room
• Apply basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes
• Apply basic knowledge of assembly and use of department equipment for sanitation purposes
• Apply knowledge of different types of insects or rodents and placement/use of pest control traps
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Communicate maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders
• Work with and around customers, attending to their needs
• Assist customers in the location of product
• Perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed

Requirements

• Minimum age 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance/sanitation
• Ability to work late evenings and overnight schedules

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in maintenance/sanitation
