About This Role

Oversee the construction, maintenance, and operation of electrical systems, ensuring projects comply with design, budget, and schedule. Lead and train crew members, prioritize safety, and apply extensive knowledge of distribution construction and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to crews to ensure safe, efficient, and quality operations
  • Thoroughly understand safety policies and guidelines and ensure crew adherence
  • Apply thorough knowledge of overhead and underground distribution construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations, including extensive switching experience
  • Install, troubleshoot, replace, and/or remove common distribution equipment (transformers, capacitors, regulators, reclosers, switches, GOABs, CT/PT metering, underground switchgear)
  • Appropriately plan work, including manpower, equipment, and material needs, and develop "look ahead" schedules
  • Ensure work progress, equipment, and construction sites are safe, specifications are met, and work is according to schedule
  • Provide on-the-job training and development of crew members in construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Support General Foreman/Project Managers to meet company goals and objectives
  • Ensure required forms, paperwork, and other information are completed and submitted (Job Safety Analyses, electronic driver's logs, vehicle inspections, timesheets, etc.)
  • Maintain positive relationships with crew members and customers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience working on and around energized high-voltage primary electric lines
  • Valid CDL-A license with clear driving record
  • Thorough knowledge of safety policies and guidelines
  • Thorough knowledge of overhead and underground distribution construction, maintenance, troubleshooting and operations including extensive switching experience
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, replace and/or remove common distribution equipment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience working on and around energized high-voltage primary electric lines

Nice to Have

  • Completion of an apprentice program or technical training as a lineman
  • Multiple years in a Journeyman Lineman classification
