Optical Manager

About This Role

This role manages the Optical department, performing optician duties while leading, teaching, and coaching the optical team, ensuring exceptional member service and department upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties required of an optician
• Manage, teach, and coach the optical team members
• Interact with Members and confirm appointments
• Ensure department upkeep and cleanliness
• Serve as the liaison between members and the lab for timely order processing
• Exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision-making using business data
• Lead through change and model leadership competencies
• Provide information teams require to be successful and build high performing teams
• Deliver results by setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability
• Provide a high level of Member service, including answering calls and scheduling eye exams

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in a retail Optical setting
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Customer service skills
• Organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Open shift availability
• At least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, optical, and/or management experience is preferred
• Minimum two years’ experience in a retail Optical setting
