Produce Clerk

About This Role

The Produce Clerk is responsible for sorting, displaying, and replenishing fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department while maintaining cleanliness and quality standards. This role provides assistance to members, offering product knowledge and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Sort, display, remove, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department
• Maintain the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to Members through product knowledge and customer service
• Ensure that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery
• Ensure cases and display areas are fully stocked
• Maintain the produce reserve stock area
• Follow established guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, and/or expired products
• Assist Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed
• Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas
• Generate signage for produce goods and perform price check functions

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age

Nice to Have

• Work experience in a produce department
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items
