Opportunistic Credit Associate

About This Role

This Associate will join a leading global investment firm's U.S. Private Credit team, focusing on complex, higher-risk private credit opportunities. The role involves critical support to senior investors throughout the underwriting and execution process in a lean environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite private credit investment opportunities across a range of industries
• Conduct financial modeling, due diligence, market and competitive research, and credit analysis
• Support investment structuring, negotiation processes, and legal documentation
• Manage deal workflows and collaborate with internal stakeholders across credit, public markets, and asset management
• Prepare investment memos and contribute to full-cycle deal execution

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience
• Experience at direct lending, opportunistic credit, and special situations investment firms
• Experience in LevFin Investment Banking groups
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Demonstrated experience evaluating or supporting credit or structured investment opportunities
• Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and professional maturity
