About This Role

Provide comprehensive patient care as an Ophthalmology Assistant, including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient teaching, while performing basic eye examination procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching
  • Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems
  • Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent training in Ophthalmic Technician Program
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
  • Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Nice to Have

  • At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience
