Provide comprehensive patient care as an Ophthalmology Assistant, including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient teaching, while performing basic eye examination procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching
- Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems
- Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients
Requirements
- Associates Degree or equivalent training in Ophthalmic Technician Program
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry
Qualifications
- Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience
Nice to Have
- At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience
