About This Role

Perform highly skilled ophthalmic imaging procedures, including digital fluorescein/ICG angiography, color fundus photography, and optical coherence tomography, to assist physicians in the examination and diagnosis of eye diseases. This role involves operating specialized equipment and providing patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fundus photography, Optical Coherence Tomography (anterior and posterior), external photography, specular microscopy slit lamp biomicroscopy, gonio, pre-op and OR imaging
  • Perform fluorescein and ICG angiography, clinical trials portrait, publications relations photography
  • Perform A-scans, orbital ultrasound, quantify intraocular tumors, and prepare ultrasound reports
  • Inject patients with fluorescein and/or indocyanine green dyes
  • Provide imaging support for physicians and patients during evaluations under anesthesia
  • Instruct patients on proper positioning during the procedures
  • Lecture or teach workshops at educational programs
  • Operate audio-visual equipment for conferences and symposiums
  • Explain special requirements for imaging and ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Interpret diagnostic images and reports for quality and clinical accuracy

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Photography, Imaging, Life Sciences or similar field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of ophthalmic imaging experience, including IVFA, ICG, fundus photography, OCT and/or ultrasonography
  • Considerable knowledge of standard photographic techniques, materials, processes, and equipment
  • Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) OR Registered Ophthalmic Ultrasound Biometrist (ROUB)
  • Certified for clinical trials

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Photography, Imaging, Life Sciences or similar field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of ophthalmic imaging experience, including IVFA, ICG, fundus photography, OCT, and/or ultrasonography

Nice to Have

  • Certified Diagnostic Ophthalmic Sonographer certification
  • Registered Ophthalmic Ultrasound Biometrist certification
