This role supports multiple offices by managing client intake and indigency reviews, acting as a receptionist, and providing essential administrative and logistical assistance to ensure efficient and consistent operations within the Missouri State Public Defender agency.
Responsibilities
- Review applications for potential clients and assist with eligibility determinations in accordance with MSPD policies and procedures
- Serve as a receptionist and point of contact, answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries appropriately
- Maintain accurate records, track requests, and enter information into MSPD systems
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, staff, vendors, and external partners
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or customer service role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service through phone and in-person interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also handling tasks independently
- Proficiency with basic office technology
Qualifications
