Operations Manager

About This Role

Lead and develop a high-performing team to achieve top-line sales growth and operational excellence for an Ulta Beauty retail store. Manage store operations including inventory lifecycle, planograms, and realignments, while ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Task Associates and Merchandise Manager, supporting retail store operations
• Drive sales growth and operational compliance through performance, people, and process management
• Promote accountability to meet or exceed store goals related to sales, loyalty, payroll, and shrink
• Drive company profitability through operational excellence and expense control
• Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to support scheduling needs and maximize productivity
• Review, analyze, and react to financial and operational reporting, store visit, and audit results
• Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team, addressing staffing needs efficiently
• Support all aspects of manager and associate professional development, including training and coaching
• Ensure execution of all operational focuses, including ad set processes, visual sets, and inventory tasks
• Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of fast-paced, retail management or relevant work experience
• Experience with financial management including driving sales, interpreting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expense
• Proven ability with monitoring inventory levels, achieving operational excellence, and executing merchandising directives
• Experience attracting, developing, and motivating top talent, and adapting to change
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system, Microsoft Office programs, and Apple devices)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible/adaptable
• Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Availability to work shifts on Sundays and Mondays

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 2-3+ years of fast-paced, retail management, or other relevant work experience
