Master Stylist

About This Role

Engage with guests to understand their hair care needs, recommend products and services, and deliver high-quality professional hair services. Meet sales and productivity goals while providing exceptional guest service in a salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable)
• Meet or exceed weekly sales goals of $1250 and productivity goals for hair services
• Conduct product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance guest experience
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on new and existing industry trends, products, and services
• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate retail/service recommendations
• Serve all guests, including walk-ins, efficiently
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team for a well-rounded guest experience
• Maintain compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures, adhering to state board guidelines
• Utilize booking and clientele systems for return services and events
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards and cleanliness

Requirements

• Cosmetology license
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing
• Proficiency with use of equipment and chemicals needed to perform technical work
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products
• Developed communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and build clientele

Qualifications

• Previous relevant work experience is required
