This role involves coordinating oncology patient treatment plans, resolving issues, and serving as a resource on patient care. The Nurse will also develop programs, policies, and community referral relationships for oncology patients.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external resources to plan, set up and coordinate oncology patient treatment plans
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of clinical services for oncology patients
- Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to oncology patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies, and procedures
- Design, evaluate, and recommend program and policy development
- Develop and maintain relationships with community referral resources
Requirements
- State of Michigan RN license
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
- 5 years of nursing experience
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5 years of nursing experience required; 5 years of oncology experience preferred
