Off Site Maintenance Technician

About This Role

This role is for an Off-Site Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and healthy environment, and maximizing property life for low- and moderate-income housing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and quarterly routine inspections and replacements
• Record accurately all required tasks and provide maintenance schedules to Project Manager monthly
• Order maintenance supplies
• Prepare units for occupancy (clean, disinfect, paint, patch, etc.); replace windows, doors, door locks, lights
• Keep walkways and parking areas free of debris
• Oversee the maintenance of lawns/garden areas and sprinkler systems as instructed
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, supplies
• Report health and safety hazards, injuries, and accidents to proper authorities
• Execute rehabilitation plans
• Maintain property according to health and safety standards
• Maintain work order log and "repair/reports" filing system
• Solicit bids for necessary work as directed

Requirements

• Ability to work and make decisions without supervision
• Experienced in routine repair and maintenance of buildings, landscaping, and appliances
• Well organized, thorough, and able to accurately record information on the maintenance schedule
• Physically able to perform maintenance tasks
• Ability to understand repair and maintenance instructions
• Valid California driver’s license
• Good driving record
• Automobile insurance per requirements of the State of California
• Reliable transportation and willingness to use own automobile on job

Qualifications

• Experienced in routine repair and maintenance of buildings, landscaping and appliances.
