Occupational Therapist (OT) - Early Intervention

About This Role

Provide and direct occupational therapy services for children aged birth to three, including assessment, treatment, program planning, implementation, and communication with families and team members. Deliver personalized care to improve lives of young patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct occupational therapy services to children aged birth to three
• Perform assessments, treatment, program planning, and implementation
• Initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with Bureau of Early Intervention procedures
• Perform annual and six-month evaluations and plan reviews to determine need for continued intervention
• Produce discharge reports in advance of age-out or discharge from caseload
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings to parents and other treatment team members
• Establish treatment schedule and provide services as determined by the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
• Document results of child’s assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services
• Adapt treatment plans to meet the individual needs of the child
• Provide, recommend, and fabricate adaptive devices or other equipment and train parents/caregivers

Requirements

• Appropriate State License
