Nursing Assistant

About This Role

Assist professional nurses with patient care by performing vital sign checks, aiding with personal hygiene, assisting with patient mobility, and maintaining a clean environment on the patient unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital sign checks
• Perform chem sticks
• Assist patients with or administer routine personal hygiene
• Prepare patients for appointments
• Ambulate, move, and lift patients
• Assist with feeding patients
• Assist patient with bed pan and urinal service and record output
• Assist nurse with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
• Respond to call lights
• Work under the supervision of a professional nurse
• Assist in obtaining and caring for equipment
• Help maintain a safe, clean environment on the patient unit

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program with at least one clinical rotation OR Nurse Aide certification
• Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities including moving, transporting, and positioning patients and equipment

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program and completed at least one clinical rotation
