Nursing Admin Supervisor

About This Role

This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care that ensures the safety and well-being of all patients at Piedmont Macon, a 310-bed acute-care hospital. The supervisor will coordinate patient flow, monitor bed availability, and manage nursing staff on assigned shifts, acting as the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain quality patient care that ensures the safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift
• Plan, direct, and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis
• Act as the designated on-site hospital administrator after normal business hours
• Assess all requests for administrator-on-call contact during the shift
• Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors
• Work under the direction of the Administrator on-call to determine the activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities
• Round and maintain open communication with all staff

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Demonstrated clinical competency
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
• BCLS - Basic Life Support

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting

• ACLS
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
