Nurse RN - Correctional Med Surg

About This Role

Serve as a travel Registered Nurse in a correctional Med/Surg unit in Chicago, Illinois. Provide acute care to patients, working night shifts and adhering to strict vaccination and scheduling policies.

Responsibilities

• Work in a correctional facility on the Med/Surg unit
• Work night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am)
• Work every other weekend
• Float to any unit or facility up to 50 miles at management discretion
• Utilize Cerner EMR for charting
• Must be willing to float to various units based on facility need, including outside primary competency under a team-based model

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience
• Must live within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• COVID vaccine required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience

Nice to Have

• Correctional nursing experience
