Join as a Travel Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, providing high-acuity care to adult and pediatric trauma patients at a Level I Trauma Center in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center with both adult and pediatric patients
- Care for high-acuity cases including trauma, homeless, psychiatric, sepsis, and stroke
- Manage patient populations with high volumes of pediatrics (1000 visits/month, 18-20% pediatric admissions)
- Accept assignments in OBS Holding, MS Tele Psych Holding, and care for hallway patients
- Utilize special procedures such as fast-track rapid care, nurse protocols, and rapid care assessments
- Care for diverse patient populations including trauma, psychiatric, and high-acuity medical cases
- Use Cerner EMR for documentation
- Participate in initial orientation and receive support as appropriate
Requirements
- Active CA RN license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
- At least 1 year of acute care ER experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience within the last 2 years
- Cerner EMR experience
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of acute care ER experience, with Level I Trauma Center experience within the last 2 years. First-time travelers must have at least 2 years of ER experience.
