Travel ICU Registered Nurse

About This Role

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse with a Georgia or compact license for a travel nursing job in Stockbridge, Georgia. The role involves providing critical care for adult and geriatric patients with complex diagnoses in a 24-bed unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for adult and geriatric patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Monitor patients closely and manage complex cases, including ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, and post-op complications
• Maintain patient ratios typically at 1:2, with potential for 1:3 assignments
• Utilize Epic for charting, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols
• Work night shift (19:00–07:00), 3x12-hour shifts, including every other weekend
• Float within the facility and scope of practice as needed, willing to take up to three patients if required
• Ensure compliance with all orientation and onboarding processes prior to start

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with Epic EMR
• Ability to work night shift (3x12 hours), including every other weekend
• Willingness to float and take up to three patients if needed
• Must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible as a returning traveler
• Compliance with orientation and onboarding processes
