About This Role

Join Ochsner Health as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Hospital Medicine, providing care, educating patients and staff, and contributing to medical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize approved medical practices processes in the delivery of all patient care
  • Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas
  • Maintain an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes, and may develop research methodology
  • Provide education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and to the community
  • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and adapting explanations of services or procedures

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current APRN license in state of practice
  • Ability to obtain Prescriptive Authority in state of practice
  • BCLS/ACLS Certification from American Heart Association

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • None required, 3 years related working experience preferred

  • 3 Years’ Related Working Experience

Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified (Required) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified (Required) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (Required)
