Nurse Manager

About This Role

The Nurse Manager holds 24/7 leadership responsibility for clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management of a unit, ensuring effective patient care and compliance with standards. This role implements strategies to support organizational initiatives like quality of care, patient safety, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24/7 leadership responsibility for all clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management for the unit
• Ensure an effective patient care delivery system is compliant and consistent with standards of practice
• Implement strategies, processes, and standards to support key organizational and departmental initiatives (quality of care, patient safety, patient satisfaction)
• Promote collegial relationships between the unit and other departments or disciplines across the Medical Center

Requirements

• Prior management/leadership experience in an acute care setting or ambulatory surgical center
• Minimum 5 years management experience preferably in a hospital or large, complex healthcare system
• Minimum 5 years RN experience working in an operating room/GI setting
• Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain an appropriate work pace
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Excellent customer service skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
• Minimum 5 years management experience preferably in a hospital or large, complex healthcare system, and minimum 5 years RN experience working in an operating room/GI setting.
