Manage surgical services staff and operations at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to strategic goals. This role involves staff training, performance evaluation, policy development, and financial oversight.
Responsibilities
- Interview, select, and provide training for new employees
- Independently evaluate and determine work assignments
- Evaluate job performance and recognize achievements
- Adhere to Corrective Action Policy for Employees
- Complete daily departmental assignments
- Edit and approve time worked in the payroll system
- Review, validate, and code invoices in a timely manner
- Adhere to Grievance Policy
- Develop and implement department and/or hospital policies relevant to patient safety and the overall Strategic Plan of the organization
- Develop and implement effective strategic initiatives with a positive interpersonal style to guide staff towards accomplishment of objectives and goals
Requirements
- Current state RN license
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- 5+ years of Acute Care nursing experience
- 1+ year of Nursing Leadership experience
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Minimum of five (5) years of Acute Care nursing experience, one (1) year of Nursing Leadership experience, and three (3) years of Surgical Services nursing experience preferred
Nice to Have
- 3 years of Surgical Services nursing experience
- Critical Care Course or Basic Coronary Care Course
