Nurse, Allergy

About This Role

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Manager as part of an Allergy team, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with allergies and immunological disorders at Pentucket Medical Associates.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and review medical records.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
• Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as dressing wounds, giving immunizations, and/or nebulizer treatments.
• Participate in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications under supervision.
• Perform variety of office responsibilities, including answering phones, taking messages, and performing triage.
• Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
• Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.

Requirements

• Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse required or Associate's Degree Nursing Required
• Licensed Practical Nurse [LPN - State License] or Registered Nurse [RN - State License]
• Basic knowledge of patient education, interviewing, listening, teaching, and engagement techniques
• Ability to accurately perform vital signs and obtain pertinent health information
• Ability to administer medication
• Knowledge and ability to perform specific procedures and tests appropriate to the clinical setting
• Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, clear and concise manner

Qualifications

• Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Licensed Practical Nurse required or Associate's Degree Nursing Required And Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
• 0-1 year of medical experience preferred
