Nuclear Med Technologist II - Nuclear Medicine

About This Role

Perform standard, specialty, and complex Nuclear Medicine procedures with minimal supervision, accurately utilizing radiopharmaceuticals to produce quality studies. Prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform venipuncture, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and departmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard, specialty, and complex Nuclear Medicine procedures with little or no supervision
• Utilize radio pharmaceuticals with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions
• Prepare radio pharmaceuticals for administration to the patient
• Perform venipuncture and catheterization duties as needed
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure federal, state, and departmental standards/requirements are met
• Assist in monitoring the daily quality assurance of the unit
• Ensure equipment is operating according to manufacturer's specifications
• Assist in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department
• Apply the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice
• Maintain knowledge of, observe, and enforce the safety measures in Environment of Care

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Program Nuclear Medicine or Formal training in Nuclear Medicine
• BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• CTNM - CA Certified Tech, Nuc Med Lic
• Minimum five (5) years Nuclear Medicine experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. and Program Nuclear Medicine or Formal training in Nuclear Medicine
• Minimum five (5) years Nuclear Medicine experience
