NICU RD

About This Role

This role will provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, monitoring, and documentation for infants within the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Registered Dietitian will participate in medical rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
• Participate in medical rounds with the interdisciplinary NICU team several times per week
• Play an active role in educating residents, advanced practice providers, fellows, and dietetic interns

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred, new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply
