About This Role

The Cook prepares and serves high-quality food items in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards for patients, caregivers, and communities. This role ensures quality food service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
• Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring correct temperature and presentation
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, reporting, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately

Qualifications

• Three years of prior culinary and high-volume cooking experience is preferred.
