Dishwasher

About This Role

Maintain kitchen and dishware in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition, supporting food service operations at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or using a dishwashing machine to ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using appropriate equipment and procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as specified by provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers, steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading supplies and product.

Qualifications

• Entry level position, willing to train.
