About This Role

This role manages and leads a team of supervisors and associates responsible for product categories, ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and adherence to company standards within a retail environment. The MST ASM drives program execution, addresses customer complaints, and maintains a safe and secure store.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews, selects, develops and provides direct leadership over a team of supervisors and associates
  • Models behaviors needed to deliver SMART customer service, maintain in-stock position, and keep the store clean and safe
  • Sets clear and measurable service and operational goals for the team, tracking progress daily
  • Connects with the team to understand challenges and remove obstacles
  • Provides recognition, feedback, coaching, training, development opportunities, and mentorship
  • Manages performance of associates against established goals and addresses performance concerns
  • Encourages sharing ideas and empowers decision-making, providing guidance when necessary
  • Identifies and addresses associate relations concerns, escalating issues to senior management or HR as needed
  • Drives execution of all service, reset, pricing and operational programs in assigned area
  • Identifies and communicates barriers to superior service with solutions
  • Serves as a primary escalation point for significant customer complaints
  • Manages store opening and closing procedures and controls expenses including payroll
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and identifies sales opportunities and gaps in inventory/merchandising
  • Enhances the Pro customer experience and drives Pro sales within respective departments
  • Monitors safe operation of store power equipment
  • Drives a culture of safety, security, and shrink prevention
  • Provides full leadership over the store as Manager-on-Duty (MOD), observing customer/associate interaction and providing coaching
  • Ensures departments are properly staffed for customer traffic and manages associate response to call buttons
  • Validates clean, safe, and clutter-free aisles
  • Manages all reset, service, and pricing activity within the store, including Live Nursery service and watering
  • Teaches and demonstrates effective use of Lowe’s selling and service model
  • Supports Ad Set execution through MST Flex endcap and promo space execution and validates promotional signage readiness
  • Accountable to Product location space accuracy through SIMS execution and feedback during reset and service execution

Requirements

  • 2 Years Experience leading associates in a retail environment
  • 3 Years Experience working in a fast-paced, cross- functional work environment
  • 1 Year Experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes
  • 1 Year Experience directly managing a team of sales associates (commissioned or non-commissioned) in retail, business-to-business, outside sales, or consumer service industry
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in retail store freight flow logistics (Operations ASM)

Qualifications

  • 2 Years Experience leading associates in a retail environment, 3 Years Experience working in a fast-paced, cross- functional work environment, 1 Year Experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, 1 Year Experience directly managing a team of sales associates (commissioned or non-commissioned)

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree Related field
  • 5 Years Experience leading service associates in a retail or consumer service industry
  • 5 Years Experience directly managing a team of sales associates (commissioned or non-commissioned) in retail, business-to-business, outside sales, or consumer service industry
  • 5 Years Experience leading support/operations associates in a retail or consumer service industry
  • 3 Years Experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities
  • Experience working in the home improvement retail sector
  • Experience working with store computer systems (including but not limited to: Project Tool, Genesis, M2O, Thin Client, etc.)
