Mother/Baby Nurse Manager

About This Role

Manage the clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery in a Mother/Baby unit, overseeing human, fiscal, and other resources. This role requires strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the clinical nursing practice of unit(s) or area(s) of responsibility
• Manage patient care delivery of unit(s) or area(s) of responsibility
• Manage human resources
• Manage fiscal and other resources
• Provide effective leadership to assigned staff
• Maintain effective contacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and Medical Center personnel
• Mentor and develop staff
• Organize and oversee the work of others
• Develop and administer sound policies, procedures, budgets, and nursing practices

Requirements

• BSN degree
• Commitment to attain a Master’s degree in 5 years
• Registered Nurse license in Maryland
• Completion of Healthcare Provider CPR course
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Substantial interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of leadership experience
