About This Role

The Applications Coordinator Analyst II, under the guidance of the IT Application Manager, is responsible for acquiring in-depth software knowledge to bridge end-user operations with the Epic team, focusing on the ASAP application. This role involves reviewing Epic software, analyzing business workflows, system building, testing, and coordinating user education. Additionally, the analyst will develop internal procedures for third-party applications, lead system implementations, and resolve user issues.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve in-depth knowledge of Epic software, particularly the ASAP application
  • Serve as a bridge between end-user operations and the Epic team
  • Review Epic software and analyze business operations and workflows
  • Build the Epic system efficiently to meet end-user needs
  • Test the system to ensure it meets desired requirements
  • Adhere to change control procedures
  • Design, develop, and coordinate materials and training environments for Epic system users
  • Develop and implement internal procedures for vendor 3rd party applications
  • Serve as an application and project lead during system implementations
  • Troubleshoot problems or questions from users and resolve assigned helpdesk tickets
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Devise moderately complex benchmarking metrics to assess system performance
  • Lead meetings, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists, and manage project plans
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives

Requirements

  • One-year operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or one year experience in Information Technology
  • One-year Epic analyst experience
  • Moderate understanding of the workflows in clinical or healthcare business operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer systems, applications, and interfaces
  • Ability to gather data, devise, and design systems to meet complex user needs with limited TS support
  • Ability to devise moderately complex benchmarking metrics to assess system performance
  • Understanding of the clinical and business operations functions
  • Ability to provide application expertise to facilitate discussions and decisions
  • Moderate degree of analytical skill
  • Ability to provide Tier 1-3 support to end users

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in health-related field with educational courses preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year operational experience in a clinical or healthcare business operations setting or 1 year in Information Technology. 1 year Epic analyst experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with implementing clinical and/or healthcare business information systems in a large-scale and complex healthcare organization
  • Epic certification in the module(s) being represented
  • Knowledge of the current healthcare environment
  • Experience in developing business and/or clinical workflows related to the assigned application module
