About This Role

This Monitor Tech position ensures the integrity of monitored patients' telemetry signals, interprets and documents heart rate and rhythm, and notifies nursing staff of changes, contributing to positive patient interactions in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assure the integrity of each monitored patient's telemetry signal
  • Interpret and document patient heart rate, rhythm, and aberrancies
  • Notify nursing staff of rate/rhythm changes
  • Assist with clerical functions, including order transcription, telephone communications, and other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the adult and geriatric population
