Monitor patients' heart performance, analyze for abnormalities like irregular heartbeats, and report findings to healthcare personnel. This role is vital for patient care and involves consistent and accurate interpretation of test results.
Responsibilities
- Routinely monitor patients
- Review patient charts
- Send charts to medical records after discharge
- Interact daily with patients and other healthcare personnel
- Transcribe physician orders accurately and consistently
- Alert nursing to STAT and NOW orders
Requirements
- Current BCLS
- Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing
- Basic medical terminology class
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One-year experience in an acute care facility preferred
